During the shooting of AMC’s Ultra City Smith’s, I was hired as an Animation Assistant, left with the responsibilities of the whole shows Lip-sync and all prep work for stages regarding tying down puppets for animation and rigging. Through-out the production I worked my way up to Animator and got an opportunity to animator a wide variety of shots, working one on one with the Animation Director and Director to help achieve scene specific character acting and shot specific needs. As demands of the production grew, I also worked as a Set Dresser, helping dress the shots composition, repairing any on set fixes needed, and doing last looks confirming the set teams work was camera ready.
I was left with responsibility of creative design and execution of illustrations (traditional and digital), technical drafting, 3d modelling for conceptual design and animation purposes, and was asked to work on the Product Concept Design team, which were responsible for coming up with new vehicle designs for both interior and exterior parts of vehicles.
• Used Maya, Zbrush, Adobe Premiere, After Affects, Photoshop on day to day basis to complete an array of projects including: Vehicle design and concept, floor plans for print, animation, illustration, and sculptural concepts and products.
• Fast paced work environment, deadlines were strict, was able to juggle multiple different projects in multiple different media confidently and on time.
• Responsible for liaising with engineers and presenting new vehicle designs to executive team.
I was brought onto this project after a year of it having trouble getting off the ground. I was given complete responsibility for design, animation, and composition. The client wished for an episodic stop-motion short for children based on specific folklore of the people; I completed two full shorts.
• Left in charge of complete project and given a strict deadline. I was able to complete the assignment ahead of schedule
• Designed and built multiple characters, sets, props to a 1\6 scale.
• Used adobe Photoshop, Premiere and Adobe Pro to complete Video Composition
